Aadhaar card verification is the process of verifying the existence of your Aadhaar card. Verification could be done by submitting your unique 12 digit Aadhaar card number.

Step by Step e-Verification of Income Tax Return Through Aadhaar Card
Before using this method you should link PAN and Aadhaar to e-filing portal. Link mobile number to Aadhaar card . To e-verify your return, you have to follow following these steps:
Step 1: Logon to your account on the e-filing portal.
Step 4: If your Aadhaar is not linked to e-filing portal, a pop-up will appear asking you to link it with PAN Card.
Step 6: After you get a linking successful message, go back to e-verify return page. Choose option 3- I would like to generate Aadhaar OTP to e-verify my return, and click on it.
Step 7: If PAN and Aadhaar are linked, an OTP will be generated and sent to registered mobile number (with Aadhaar Card). Remember OTP code is only valid for 10 minutes from it is generated and send to you through SMS.
